Certificate in Diagnostic Radiography Program is a three-year academic course in Radiological Technology which is a relatively new allied health science that has grown in leaps and bounds in recent years. Radiological Technology is a science of combining advanced technology and human compassion. This academic program aims to prepare qualified and skilled radiography technicians who will be able to work in Radiology department where they can perform radiographic examinations like kidney ,ureter and bladder (KUB),intravenous urography( IVU)and Mammography including plain X-ray of various parts of human body. They can perform special radiological procedures such as CT scan, MRI under the supervision of Radiological Technologist.

During  three-year of the course, students will study about basic sciences subjects in the first year that are included in 10+2 Science course. These subjects are Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Anatomy and Physiology, Mathematics  Statistics and Computer Application, English, Nepali and Social Studies. In the second year, they will learn specialized subjects like- Radiography Technique, Radiography Photographic, Radiographic Equipment, Radiation Physics, Radiological Anatomy, Basic Public Health & First Aid/MCH/PHC. They will also be given adequate time for clinical practices on Clinical Radiology in hospital and other special settings to acquire practical knowledge and skills defined by the curriculum.

In third year two theoretical subjects (Basic radiographic pathology and hospital practice and patient cares)only  are conducted and remaining time is allocated for this students  at different hospitals for practicum.

After completing  this certificate course, they can  further proceed  Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging Technology (Bsc.MIT), Bachelor of Science in Radiography, Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Medicine, Bachelor in Public-health leading to master levels in the respective fields. After completing this certificate level course and six months equivalent course conducted by HSCB they will also be eligible for MBBS entrance examination.

An individual who has passed SLC/SEE examination with compulsory Mathematics, English and Science is eligible to appear in the entrance examination which is conducted by CTEVT. The college will take admission on the basis of merit list.
